  9. This animation was generated using POV-Ray, an excellent freeware
  10. raytracing program available via ftp from ftp.povray.org, or on the
  11. WWW from http://www.povray.org.
  12.  
  13. I generated this animation procedurally, using custom animation
  14. software I wrote myself.  To create a new spider, I just write
  15. a short text file which specifies such parameters as body size,
  16. leg length and thickness, stride length, etc., and tell it "Walk!"
  17. The program then animates the spider, automatically making all the
  18. calculations for placing the body and legs as it moves along.  For
